The weather could not be more perfect. Hot sunny days and a chill in the evenings.

The locals have gone elsewhere for this Thanksgiving weekend, but they swapped stools with the born and raised who returned.

First off, Friday night Emilie from Switzerland was in…but where’s the picture? And then Radhika et al showed up – she’ll be back on Sunday so we’ll catch her then….

And later the Bocaletes returned:

And at the very end of the night, prodigal son Eric returned…where are the rest of that gang? JD? Bobby? You know who you are…how about some face time?

Another Sunday funday chez Deuce.

I caught Nicky riding his bike on 14th street:

And then Lucy and I took a walk and ran into Audra walking Lucy’s nephew, Bones:

A good day all around…would have been better had the dolphins won.

Friday night was off with a bang … Good times with Arelis and Mike. Peter and Brett showed up to do Photo shoot for Ocean Drive Magazine.
Great to see Manny return…tis the season when all Deucers come back home.

And then SuperManny showed up – you’ll recognized the uncaped crusader from page 87 of the deucers book.
Fun night all around.

Mac’s Club Deuce

Sometimes regular people need an irregular place to be, a joint that’s so ordinary as to be completely extraordinary – a bar that knows it’s a bar.

It’s not a place to dance, although dance you may. It’s not a pick-up joint but there is no need to go home alone. Granted Mac’s Club Deuce is no “Cheers” as everyone doesn’t know your name; then again, there’s a good chance many of the patrons don’t even remember their own names.

The Deuce defines South Beach style by defying South Beach style So, have a drink with the authors, the homeless, the drag queens, the hookers, the fashionistas, the dealers and the regulars. All you have to do is check your inner judgmental-asshole at the door and enjoy the wild life.

And now bartender Melissa Burley’s self-published 96 page collection of more than 450 photographs spanning 13 years stands to immortalize the place in the only way you can capture the spirit of the immortal Deuce, aside from being there. Good times.

Sunday was another fabulous edition of Cool, Dark, and Anonymous. We had visitors from the Grove, vagabonds from downtown and our favorite Sunday regs: Loads of laughs. Word to the wise. Sambuca is made for sipping….
